Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are introducing Before School Care.Before School Care is designed to allow students to be dropped off here at school between 6:30-7:30 a.m. and be in a safe and adult supervised environment. The program is open to all students in grade Kindergarten through 12th.
District policy prohibits students from arriving on the campus more than a half hour before school starts. For our campus, no student shall be dropped off before 7:30 a.m. As daylight in the morning becomes less and temperatures drop as winter looms, it is critically important that every child and parent follow this policy. The possibility of strangers lurking around the neighborhood is always a concern we take seriously. However, we also have abundant wildlife in the area, including snakes, skunks, bobcats and other nocturnal animals that have been seen in the area that we do not want students exposed to unnecessarily.
The cost for this program is $30/month per child or $2/day for each drop off. This fee does not include breakfast or snack in the morning. However, students who bring in breakfast will be allowed to eat their food in the cafeteria during this time. All students signed up for Before School Care should be dropped off at door 9.
We strongly encourage everyone to sign up if you would like to drop off your child between the hours of 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. Students dropped off prior to 7:30 am beginning on Monday, October 24 will be brought inside to Before School Care and a fee of $2 will be charged to the student’s account. Any student outside before 7:30 will automatically be placed in Before School Care and your account will be charged the $2 fee per child per day.
